Why It Matters

What CQC registration actually means

The CQC monitors, inspects and regulates healthcare providers in England to ensure they meet fundamental standards of quality and safety. Registration is not a badge a clinic awards itself. It is an ongoing regulatory relationship: the CQC sets the standards we must meet, inspects our compliance, publishes its findings, and has the power to act against providers who fall short.

For you, that means an independent body — not our marketing — stands behind the care you receive here: safe premises and equipment, properly qualified and registered clinicians, safeguarding, infection control, honest reporting, and a clear route to raise concerns.

It is also the single most useful question to ask any private clinic. If a provider cannot give you a Provider ID, they are not registered.

Fundamental Standards

What we are held to

Person-centred care

Care designed around your needs and preferences, with dignity, respect and informed consent at every stage of the appointment.

Safety and safeguarding

Safe premises and equipment, infection control, and safeguarding procedures for adults and children alike.

Fit and proper staffing

Scans performed only by registered clinicians whose qualifications and registration status are verified and published.

Duty of candour

Honest reporting, including when a scan cannot answer the question — and prompt communication of anything significant.

Raising Concerns

If something falls short

Tell us first. We take complaints seriously and respond to every one — call 0203 051 6506 or write to us, and you will get a reply.

You can also raise concerns directly with the CQC at any time via cqc.org.uk. The regulator accepts feedback about any registered provider independently of the clinic, and you do not need our permission or involvement to do it.

Choosing between clinics? Our guide to how to choose a private ultrasound clinic sets out the questions worth asking — of us as much as anyone else.

Care you can verify
