Career and training
Yianni began his radiography training in Greece before completing a BSc (Hons) in Radiography at London South Bank University in 1999. He spent the next five years at Crawley Hospital, part of the Surrey and Sussex NHS Trust, training for and obtaining his Postgraduate Certificate in Medical Ultrasound (General Imaging) from South Bank University in 2004.
Since then he has deliberately worked across both the NHS and the private sector — the combination he credits with building the breadth a general ultrasound practice demands. He founded International Ultrasound Services to bring NHS-grade diagnostic scanning into an accessible private setting, and continues to practise as a senior sonographer at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust alongside leading the clinic.
Yianni authors and clinically reviews the medical content published on this website. Every reviewed page carries his name, HCPC number and review date — including this one.
